October 2008

Recount of Hever Castle visit

by Christopher O'Bray
Year 5

We went to Hever Castle on the 9th of October we got there by coach. It took about hour and an half to get there.

First of all I went in to the castle. We saw weapons and swords and axes and saw statues of Henry the 8th six wives dressed in Tudor costumes with head dresses on. We saw Henry VIII bedroom, on his bed there was a furry covers over it. The bed was warmed up by a bed pan which would have been filled with warm water and put inside the bed before Henry got in.

Next we went to the shop I bought rubbers, pens and a notebook.

Then I went to the museum and we saw rich and poor people homes and we got to go inside the homes.

I learned about Tudor weapons they were old and they looked  shiny when you saw them through the glass.
